To Spag, cycling means freedom. It’s that feeling when you start pushing the pedals—it’s his passport to see the world. When he’s not guiding for DuVine, Spag is somewhere out there on his bike exploring new places, meeting new people, and learning about new cultures. He has a love affair with long distances and road trips. In 2018 he rode 12,000 kilometers from the shores of the Arctic Ocean in Canada to Mexico City.
If he’s not on the bike, you’ll find Spag behind the camera taking portraits and capturing everyday life in streets around the world. In 2013, he began his “Share The Word Project” with street artist Seb Toussaint. For the past 10 years, Spag and Seb have traveled around the world creating murals with words chosen by inhabitants of low-income neighborhoods.
Spag believes life—like guiding—is for sharing and learning.
