Gina is a New York-based storyteller with a passion for history and conservation. As an independent travel journalist, Gina’s assignments have seen her tracking chimpanzees in Uganda, hiking the wild Sardinian coast, skiing Big Sky’s famed cold-smoke powder, and meeting a Maya healer in Belize. Her work has been featured in numerous print and digital publications, including Travel + Leisure, where she is a longtime contributor.
Gina’s love for travel was sparked by her grandfather, Beeps, who loved every journey, whether that meant driving down to the Bronx from his home near New Haven to shop for parmigiano or visiting relatives in a tiny town outside of Naples. It was accompanying him on one of his jaunts to Italy that truly sealed the deal, and now, if she doesn’t have a flight queued up or a road trip planned, she starts to feel restless.
But in spite of her wanderlust, Gina’s favorite adventure is being a mom—and she’s happiest when she’s stirring a big pot of sauce in the kitchen of her home on the Hudson River, which she shares with her husband and their three daughters.
