Gwen’s love for travel and photography started with a trip to South Africa to study social entrepreneurship. From there she spent a month backpacking Europe, exploring beautiful, historic cities, and 7 countries, by foot, bike and train. Unsuccessful in kicking her travel bug, she later spent a semester studying in Lyon, France. While there she took several unforgettable side trips. In Ireland, she spent 10 days driving around the coast (on the left side of the road) and ventured out to Dingle for a Guinness at the famous Foxy John’s – half bar, half hardware store. In Morocco she rode a camel through the Sahara and stayed in a Bedouin tent. Before graduating, she snuck in one more semester abroad, to live and work in rural Kenya for a local nonprofit, teaching art and health classes. Wherever she goes, she’s always looking to meet locals and get the most authentic travel experience.
After somewhat reluctantly returning to the states, she studied design at MassArt and continues to take classes in graphic design, web design, and photography. She’s always looking to learn and is excited to have found a place where she can combine her love for travel with design.
