Born and raised in Samsun, Turkey, Osman was the first child in his family. At just 14, he began his studies in military medicine at the Ankara Gülhane Military Medical Academy. Over a 14-year career as a Paramedic Petty Officer in the Turkish Navy, his four years aboard a submarine expanded his horizons. Osman has a long history in orienteering, having competed extensively in the sport. Today, he works as an orienteering map designer and computer referee. His passion for sports led him to pursue a degree in Sports Sciences at 26, where he graduated third in his class and earned the title of Sport Manager. He furthered his education with a master’s degree in the field and has published several studies in scientific journals. Believing that learning has no age limit, Osman also completed a master’s degree in Tourism Guidance at Eskişehir Osmangazi University. In his leisure time, he enjoys flying drones.
