Chris started road cycling after receiving his first real road bike for his 14th birthday. It was love at first ride, and soon after racing became a passion. Over the years, racing brought him from Canada to Florida to Spain and Ireland. Though he no longer races, cycling has remained a lifelong passion. Chris is also an avid trail runner and hiker.
It was also that first road bike that caused Chris to start hanging around the local bike shop. Later that year, he was given the opportunity to apprentice. By wintertime, he was paid for his work and was on cloud nine. Chris continued to work in the bicycle industry through his school years, and at age 22 he purchased his first bike shop. 31 years later, he sold the shop and cashed in on some time off. Now Chris is thrilled to continue working around bicycles in a new and different dimension, and is looking forward to meeting his guests on the East Coast!
