In his childhood, Mijo was a champion rower, which led him to graduate from the Maritime University. Expanding on his general enjoyment of being active outside, he took up cycling and became a triathlete. He won several triathlon championships in Croatia, and became a personal trainer, nutrition adviser, and group training teacher. In addition to triathlons, he is a reigning picigin champion—a traditional game played only on Bačvice beach in Split, in which the objective is to impress spectators with outlandish water stunts. Mijo’s philosophy has always been to give everything you have, and take just what you need.
